The small diameter suits spot repairs, edges, recesses and other areas where a larger disc is awkward. Coarse grits remove old paint and shape body filler, medium grits feather edges and prepare for primer, and the finest grits are used for sanding primer and for flatting clearcoat defects before polishing.
